So, I've been changing how the world of Frexia works after chatting more with one friend of mine on discord.
Instead of the world being divided in half with two nearly identical setups of ringed continents around a central island, there will be several ringed continent sets, created by the dragons that hatched in the early planet life, before it even truly cooled down. The eggs having been deposited through meteoric impacts from another planet in the system breaking apart.
As these dragons explored the still semi-solid world of Frexia, they carved great gouges through what would become the tectonic plates and upper crust that would form the land, using the heat and mineral content to grow larger and larger.
Eventually they would die from simple old age and inability to eat enough to sustain themselves, after laying their own eggs on the world that had cooled somewhat faster than would be expected. Their offspring would continue this pattern as their parents bodies deteriorated and decomposed, still providing for their children by being eaten.
These dragons spread through the whole of the planet, into the cooling crust and mantle, as their bodies broke down and decomposed they became one with the world, forming the central islands of the continental rings by their skull crowns, and mountain ranges with the frill of horns around them.
