Hi friends, I’m Elizabeth. I write middle grade fantasy, devotions, science-y things about gemstones (since I’m a Graduate Gemologist, which means I like microscopes and STEM). I also speak and share a bit of our journey as wildfire survivors to help others have a shorter journey through difficult seasons of life. After rebuilding from almost nothing, I’ve become a bit of a silver-linings spotter in real-life - I love focusing on beauty, sparkle of jewels, and moments that grow hope, even from the ashes in life. While I’ve had a career in corporate marketing and PR and am published in magazines, my deep love is in connecting with kids and jewelers and others in the writing community. I get a little thrill out of helping someone and lifting up others when they are low or need a thread that leads to deeper faith and I can connect them with a resource. With my #mglit I love weaving stories that combine real-life historical mysteries along with gems I’m intrigued by. My first book, currently on submission, combines a necklace from a Viking hoard with a mystery involving telescopes and secret messages in gemstones - and travel, of course. Sweden is a highlight, as well as a land where words float and my main character, who is hard of hearing, has magical things happening and may encounter a gnome… Personality-wise I’m an ENFJ and I find than MANY of my friends are INFJ or close to that. Are you? And I’m mom to two teen boys who love technology and music and theater. This week, I get to watch my son as The Candyman in #WillywonkaJR too! My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th anniversary which seems huge. And since I live in Silicon Valley there’s a lot of cool tech I’m always exposed to and love to include in my stories. Most of all I love connecting with you, so share your favorite sweet treat or something that brings you joy! #FantasyMonth #meethebookstagrammer #aboutme #MGfantasy #writersofinstagram #readersofinstagram #amediting #authorlifemonth https://www.instagram.com/p/B8ISmX0g4d8/?igshid=1qo61nupu2rse
