Enjoy these fun and tasty cupcakes to celebrate the arrival of gnomes. Anyone who wants to add a little magic to their day or have a fantasy-themed party will love these.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/2 cup sour cream. Green food coloring. 24 mini marshmallows. Red decorating icing. Mini chocolate chips.
Instructions: Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a whisk. Put away. Mix the softened butter and sugar in a different bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step. Beginning and ending with the dry ingredients, mix in the buttermilk and sour cream one after the other. To make it look like a gnome, add a few drops of green food coloring. Using a toothpick, poke a hole in the middle of a cupcake and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out clean. On a wire rack, let the cupcakes cool all the way down. When the cupcakes are cool, use red decorating icing to make the gnome's hat on top of each one. A gnome's pom-pom is made by putting a mini marshmallow on the end of each hat. Small chocolate chips can be used to make the gnome's mouth and eyes. Have fun with your cute Gnome Cupcakes!
