Literal Bookworm (Closed - Akira)
Another day - another afternoon’s desk work at the library which Laurent had grown very used to by this point. The afternoon tended to be a time where lots of strangers were in the library studying, which Laurent himself understood: especially with the weather being just nice and pleasant today. It wasn’t so warm it was stifling, or too cold - just a enjoyable balance. Truth be told, though - he was terribly shy as always and found himself hunching over his desk from the number of people.
He still had that niggling problem of not being the best at social conversations, dear dear...yet, something moving across the tome he had in front of him caught his attention. It was his own tome, he’d accidentally dropped it in a bush this morning, but found it - but it appeared a small visitor had decided to tag along with it without him knowing.
There was a small caterpillar moving along, seemingly unharmed by crawling onto a tome and being carried all the way to the library. Ah...he didn’t want the small bug to starve, though. Gently extending a gloved hand, he waited for the caterpillar to climb onto it - but someone approaching startled him, and the mage quivered in uncertainty a moment before able to speak.
“Ah...please don’t hurt the little bug. They got inside by accident, so I’m trying to grab them so I can put them on some plants outside...?”
He really wasn’t good with talking to strangers, please help. Hopefully, whoever had approached the desk didn’t get frightened of the bug with that explanation, though.
