this is a collab with the lovely @platypusundercover who wrote Bang Chan's POV

Rating: teen & up Pairing: Lee Know / Bang Chan; past Lee Know / Han Tags: fluff, snowstorms / getting snowed in, blackouts, cuddling (for warmth!!1!!1), mutual pining, love confessions, sexual tension, first kiss (interrupted multiple times), making out (uninterrupted) Word Count: 15k Notes: Han thinks he's helping (the jury's still out on that one), Minho's gaydar malfunctions and he thinks Bang Chan is straight for like five minutes (it happens to the best of us, I'm sure), and Chan is just being really heccin soft and a bit oblivious and also so wolf-coded (and Lino has cuteness aggressions about it)

The universe must hate him, trapping him and Bang Chan in the most romantic winter getaway cabin in the mountains, cutting the power and leaving him to deal with his feelings all on his own. Or, the story of how Lee Know tries to be a responsible group member and friend, and move on from his horribly embarrassing crush on their group's leader, while the cabin, the snow and Han Jisung try everything in their power to push him right back into Bang Chan's arms.

and my working theory is that Python is about fame and not some person, actually

how they became famous and how they thought Fame was going to be committed to them, how Fame has a hold on them (like a python) even when the lights are off, how they thought Fame was their (only) future and how they know they should move on but they can't because they're addicted to the Fame they have.

then the broken glass symbolism (and the I'm bleeding out line) showing how fragile and violent Fame is and can be once it breaks and you lose it

the whole mirror theme, the microphones around youngjae, the cameras flashing and the screens with the eyes, and the frozen photoscape describing how they're always surrounded by cameras and mics and always need to look good and how it leaves them so cold and frozen (and also sick, like jaebeom looks during his part and how they all look in the photoshoots)

but then they escape out of the limousine and run through that tunnel together to the playground they frequented during their trainee times, which is where they actually are laughing and having fun. far away from prying eyes (except Jackson's phone camera, but that's more to preserve the moment for themselves for later).

and finally, how they then head out to the stage, because despite them knowing they're happier when / because they're together far away from everything connected to fame, they are still in this industry and they have to play along (Bam writing The show must go on. onto the mirror also), but at least it's less volatile now and less fragile. most importantly they're not alone anymore.

the snow globe thing also plays into that. because a snow globe you shake and put onto a shelf to look pretty. all the things inside the globe are static, and they, most pressingly, cannot escape without breaking the whole globe. = if they want the fans and the world to stop looking at them and seeing them as these static icons and idols, they would have to destroy all they have built over the years.

( again, this is just my theory, so, no worries if you had a different one or if the 7 or Bam at one point says it's not about that at all ^-^ )
