“are you ready baby?” joel asks a grin gracing his lips, squeezing your hand and glancing your way before moving his eyes back to the road in front of him. “we’re almost there y’know?” he adjusts himself in his seat. when you’d gotten the acceptance letter to the university of pennsylvania joel was the first one you told, just after your parents. he’d offered to drive you and help unpack as soon as you told him.
“i know,” you nod “i’m nervous, but i’m excited. happy that i get to be closer to you now.” you say, lifting his hand from your lap to press a kiss to it causing his smile to widen. “me too baby. now lets go get you settled in hm?” you’d been so caught up in the conversation with him you hadn’t realized he parked the car in front of the college.
