I know there are still seventy two days to go, but in daily florist life terms that's really equal to three hours so preparation for Halloween is currently underway. As the shop is so different and I have more space I may go a little OTT this year!

Having put my nephew to work on Wednesday, I allowed him a little time to himself whilst his Mum was helping me. He found some fake toadstools, a box of moss & created a "field" 🍄

Since then two other little people have been in & wanted to move them about❤️

I absolutely love my job - most days! - right up until a few days before Feb 14th then I constantly ask myself "why, WHY are you putting yourself through this again?"... this year was no exception (the amount of people who tried to get me to sell them the orders I waiting for drivers on Weds morning - despite the sign on them - was quite astounding, however, I did finally get to work with the toffee roses I so often see at the wholesalers but have never been able to afford to buy without a reason. I want to buy them again. I also really enjoyed the rose/calla mixed hand tied...

did I enjoy these enough to make me want to put myself through it again next year? We shall just have to wait-and-see!
