We dug through our archives for two photographs (taken about 40 years apart) that are symbolic and apt for #nationalfarmersday. In 1996, when Farmer Al embarked on his quest to grow the nation’s sweetest peaches, he worked relentlessly in the fields, learning along the way what it took to grow a truly memorable peach. While today @froghollowfarm sits on almost 250 acres from its modest 10-acre beginning, not much else has changed for the man at the heart of this mission. Farmer Al still spends most of his time in the orchard with his trees; wearing his signature overalls; learning from an incredible community of farmer friends about new ways to support and enrich the soil to make the most of Brentwood’s unique terroir.
