Lol I think some students don't like me Walked in to get some wifi, told them a quick opinion of some hot fitters they were dicking around with, offered them my set (bc I hate the hot fitters) and then they both left I can hear them outside the door still Great Didn't like them anyways Still got me some wifi
I graduated my 24 week course with a diploma and the Academic award :D They gave me a textbook by Dollar and Wheatley on horseshoeing - I actually have the PDF version of it (hard copy is always better) and it's a really great, old school reference book. Unbelievably happy with my education, and stupidly excited for my future...
"When will I be out of shaping hell!?!" Cried the weary smith "Never" responded the forge "Anything you do, may it be horseshoes or crafted art, will use the elements you learn from shapes" Never again did the smith cry out to the forge late at night.

Her: *grabs literally 10 dryer sheets*
Me: uhhhh how many do you need?
Her: omg I use so many

Her: NO! It's necessary!!

When, as a white-hot shoe jumps up and hits your hand while you're punching nail holes into it, and you let out a beastly scream; the people around you look up, chuckle and then carry on playing with their own bits of white hot steel...
After a week off from school for Thanksgiving, my hands are soft and my callouses are disappearing... I'm pretty keen to get back in the forge and under some horses today :D
The facilities here are pretty awesome - the forging shops are spacious; the classrooms are well-equipped with an endless supply of bones, legs, hooves and shoes; and there's a giant square pile of old shoes outside, which we pick through to forge our stuff... Just try find a 3/8 inch shoe without grooves or clips in that pile...I dare you...
