After attacking the day, and a few hairy Orloni, with all of his might and getting nowhere, Groot was beginning to feel anxious and upset. What if he didn’t find Rocket? All day, people had been nearly stepping on him or kicking him and no one understood him. He couldn’t even get them to open the door for him. What if he never saw Rocket or Gamora or Peter again? Sullenly, he dragged himself up onto a bench, clinging to the itinerary the school had given him. For a while he simply sat there, staring down at the ground and trying his best not to cry. Earth was a terrible, backwater planet where everything was made from trees. Even the bench was made from wood.
