“So, pray tell, who did cause the lower half of Oscorp to explode?” Wanda crossed her arms over her chest, looking at her son with a stern expression. The boy sat in front of here, as she had separated him from his team to speak with him in private. Though she sensed his twin brother was just behind the door listening as their mother scolded his brother. It felt all too familiar, Wanda would do the exact same thing when Pietro got into trouble with father for doing something reckless and stupid.

Wanda sighed, she leaned her back against the counter, her palms pressed down against the cool surface, before she brought her hand up to pinch the bridge of her nose. “Look, we’ll clean up that mess, but don’t think you’re out of the woods just yet. We need to fix it before we all have Norman Osborn breathing down all of our necks.” And the last thing Wanda wants is to be anywhere near that man.

“As it does for me too.” Wanda couldn’t hold back her tears at that moment. It meant very much to Wanda that Tommy was here with her and wanting to be with her. It was a big step, not just for him, but for her as well. She half expected Tommy to turn down the request of living with her. Wanda just wanted to get to have her son with her and to make up for all the lost time. He and Billy were the most important part of her life. She would die for them and more importantly, she’d kill for them.

The comeback is on the tip of Tim’s tongue until the screen switches from a monologue back to an explosion as the two protagonists clash together in present time again. Ugh, at this rate it’ll be a whole season before the story progresses. Why did he like this show again? “... You have a point. I’m getting tired of there being a fight that lasts four episodes long because they have include the opponent’s backstory in it. Should I switch to shojo? At least they handled their conflict within the same episode and usually move the storyline along more consistently...Is that Spy-Agent-Family one count? I sorta wanted to read that one...”

“Madripoor isn’t exactly a vacation spot I would recommend to anyone.” Wanda sighed, she ran a hand through her thick, chocolate brown curls. She knew Billy and Teddy could handle themselves fine, but as a mother, she couldn’t help worrying about them. She just has to trust her son and son-in-law's judgement.

“I have not put down my phone once today.  My hand, it aches.  My eyes, dry.  My pettiness...My pettiness has somehow maintained its strength.”  It’s funny?  Right?  How he’s supposed to be retired?  And yet he’s spent all this time, on the phone.  Arguing with government suits, restating the same thing at least twenty times.  And his patience is as thin as as a spring roll wrapper.  It’s a warning, and a threat.  He makes a point to turn off his phone and toss it onto the couch, where it’ll hopefully get lost among the cushions:  If anyone needs him for anything important, they already know how to put a message through on the identicards.  “So if you’ve broken anything, need bail money, are here with bad news, or have shown up empty handed with no offering of donuts, I want you to choose your words very wisely.”

“Thomas?! Tommy?! Baby, look at me, please. Keep your eyes open, your mama will heal you.” Wanda’s voiced cracked, right as tears began streaming down her cheeks. She had gotten Tommy to lay down on the ground, resting his head on her lap. She placed both hands on either side of Tommy’s with the space between being filled with Wanda’s hex aura. “I can’t lose you again.” Wanda whispered. Teardrops landed on Tommy's forehead, tears were streaming down Wanda's cheeks as she worked diligently to save her son's life.
