This year on the Copper River, though the run is within the expected range of the fishery (which is managed by AK Dept of Fish & Game)- has not been as huge of a run as we've seen in the last few years. It leaves folks that bought in within the last year or two with big payments and not much money to make them with. Even with the higher price that typically accompanies a run of fewer fish, the overall morale of the fleet is low. This boat name really sums it up when I think about fishermen in general.
