I realized that, as proud as I was of the other mer Archer picture I drew, I didn't like the fish I picked for him very much. A Clown Fish, despite being fun, didn't fit him (or Shirou) very well, so I decided to give it another go and try to find something I liked more. And I think I found it! I picked an Orca for him since it seemed a bit more unique.

Orca are better known as Killer Whales, and are mammals! I thought it would be more interesting than just making him a fancy or frilly fish. And it felt right for someone as practicality focused as Archer.

Also, I wanted his design to work with his Heroic Spirit armor (despite him not wearing it in this drawing), which is why there aren't any special features on his from the waist up. At some point, I want to draw him with it on. But I wanted to get the main met design on paper first.

I'll probably make a Tumblr post with all the misc story ideas that have been rattling around in my head for this later.

Fate/Grand Order Formal Craft 1/8th Scale Figure

Kinda want to pre-order, not sure I can afford it tho 😆

I was trying find some Mer art/aus for Fate, and was disappointed by how little I found. Like, there were only 3 fics and 5 pics and that was it.

So I drew Emiya/Archer as a merman!

(My first time drawing him, and it's as a merman)

If anyone's wondering, Archer's a black Clownfish. I mostly picked it because I'm assuming Shirou would also be a mer, so it would make sense for them to be the same type of fish but in different colors that fit them. (Orange and white for Shirou, and black and white for Archer)

I'll either finish the picture in color, or try to do Shirou at some point. Whichever happens first (if it happens at all)
