The Manifesto
The history of all hitherto existing societies has been the history of class struggle. Caste, as it has existed in India and some other countries, has been the most pernicious and perverted manifestation of class domination. It is important to classify the caste system under the larger and more generic rubric of class for both philosophical and strategic reasons. Marx's conception of class is the beginning of a way of thinking not it's end. There is nothing in Marx's work that prevents us from creatively developing on his conception in order to empower ourselves and create better conditions of existence for humanity. Furthermore any system of class domination will have hereditary transfer of wealth, status and control as it's ultimate aim. Can caste not be easily understood as the logical conclusion of this aim which was beginning to take hold of Europe in Marx's own time? Secondly once the caste system has been established in all its desperate cruelty as it has been in India the greatest challenge in breaking it's hegemony would be in finding a way of defining this system in a language which does not belong to it. In other words, those in India fighting against caste need to understand it as class, because that is what it is, and calling it so exposes it for what it is. It prevents metaphysical justification of its origin and shows caste to be the result of the most cruel and idiotic of human thinking. This does not mean that one needs to distort the reality of caste in order to make it fit into Marx's conception but rather to expand Marx's conception of class in order that it fully explains the reality of caste. All systems of hereditary domination are based on controlling the WOMB. To this end, many different methods of convincing and coercing women have been deployed. The most disgusting of them has been classifying the fundamental existence of humans according to their role in reproduction. Sex and gender may be biological or psychological, they are irrelevant for everything except reproduction. Reproduction, may be essential for continued existence of society, but there is no reason why it needs to be controlled by society. Individual and free humans will continue having babies and taking care of them without being convinced or forced to do so. All tools against oppression must be wielded and controlled by the oppressed. That is the only way of ensuring their honesty. Egalitarian societies are necessary for leading fulfilling individual lives. The potential of even the most elite individual of a society will always be restricted by the actual conditions of the most deprived. An individual's potential cannot exceed her society's potential. Humans are social animals and will always prefer living in social conditions. By enabling mutual cooperation societies greatly increase individual potential. The absence of mutual cooperation destroys already existing means of individual fulfillment and happiness.
