Ansem frowned and swatted Xemnas’s hands away. “Stop that.”

‘What he doesn’t know won’t kill him,’ she said with a half-hearted laugh, coming further into the room. It… truly was such a mess that Tsura didn’t expect. ‘I- Thank you, but I must ask, what’s wrong?’ Current cause for false celebration can be postponed, but she stayed put in case coming closer would bring discomfort.

He glanced at her, he looked like hell. Apparently he hadn’t taken the news... well. “You didn’t listen.” 

He gets up slowly, so slowly it seems almost inhuman, some part of who he use to be creeping in to squash the humanity he had gained. “I warned you that he would kill you and you let your stupid little crush blind you. Ansem isn’t a nice person. Neither of us are nice people.” Xemnas snarls, “At least I was trying to protect you by warning you, but no. You listened to the man who fluttered his eyelashes and fed you honied words.” He smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes and it sits unnaturally on his face. 

“So congratulations on your engagement. You won’t live to see your honeymoon. We are monsters, princess. We have always been and will always be monsters. He devours and I destroy. It’s what we’re good at. No amount of hope will ever change that.”

His head is killing him, and he didn’t expect the fabled Princess to make a show. He doesn’t look at her. Sat staring blankly out of the window in his room. It’s still in a state of total disrepair, he’s only managed to somewhat straiten things and find a chair to drag into his room. 

“...Everything is fine.” It wasn’t and it was very obvious it wasn’t. Either that or his room had been ransacked. “Congratulations on your... engagement.” The word comes more as a sneer as he tried not to flat out say ‘death warrant’. “Ansem wouldn’t be happy if he knew you were here.”
