“I thought I did curse the ground when I stepped first into this school. How do I even do that? Like, piss on the floor or something?” Least that’s how Scott did it.

I WANT THE K!
GET A KISS | SEL. ACCEPTING#3. nose kiss
❝ Looks like I finally got you. ❞ Keith stated smugly from where he had Rayne in a pin on the training deck floor. It’d been a long time coming, but honestly he was proud even if this moment would likely be short-lived and she would have his ass on the ground in a second once he let her go but for now? For now he’d gloat… JUST A LITTLE.
❝ Is the blue lion suddenly losing her touch? Maybe Lance’s lack of close combat training is rubbing off on you, YOU MIGHT WANNA GET THAT CHECKED, BABE. ❞ He added, leaning in to press a teasing kiss at the tip of her nose, swiftly backpedaling as he let her go, entering his ready stance.
❝ Well, come on then. ❞

blue will always touch red because she can and i feel like red and blue are the closest in age, and they have this secret bond that red will never admit but if red feels upset, she probably goes right to blue and blue will understand immediately what’s wrong and then they’ll just.. /bonding.
thats an interesting way to look at it tbh ! tho unfortunately i feel like reds a little more hostile / distant then others would care to percieve her ; imo, she doesn’t go to anyone when shes upset due to the chances of her lashing out or just not knowing how to handle an emotion like sadness or anything related to ! she’s very foreign when it comes to her emotions but she always knows blue + the other lions will support her emotionally should she choose to allow herself to ease up !

A low ‘ooh’ escaped their lips while watching the other practice, flowing movements that made it look like she was dancing. The Green Lion sat on the grass beside the lake, arms around the legs pressed against their chest, simple watching. On their right was a small electronic pad momentarily forgotten and whatever notes they had meant to make would have to be written down when they weren’t so focused on different matters ( it wasn’t a big deal, Green had exceptional memory, but scientific research couldn’t be shared until it could be read ).
“Can you do that again?”, they suddenly said, back straightening slightly when their interest increased, “That move just now, do it again!”

♘+ (oh? Angst?)
KEITH’S REACTION TO… | ACCEPTING♘ = stabbing your muse
HE HADN’T WANTED TO DO IT.
The choice wasn’t his to make though, not when the safety of the rest of the team was involved. It was the Galra after all that had turned Rayne into what she was- who was to say there wouldn’t have been some left over side-effects. Some residual amount of CONTROL they still had over her and could tap into if they’d tried hard enough.
IT WAS FOR THE GREATER GOOD.
That’s what Keith had to repeat to himself over in over in the milliseconds that passed as he’d drove his bayard through her form. Try as he did to take her down without LETHAL FORCE, it just wasn’t plausible. She was a lion of Voltron, she was powerful, and if he wasn’t ready to do anything he’d never win this fight- none of them would have made it out.
Lance was already down for the count, unable to fight his own lion who he’d shared a profound bond with, Hunk didn’t fare well as he was a gentle soul by nature, and Pidge was so inexperienced. It had been left up to Shiro and Keith and they each knew exactly what they had to do but the final blow had had to be dealt by the paladin of red- red as the blood staining his gloves and dripping down the hilt of his sword and onto the white plating of his armor.
❝ I’m sorry. ❞ The grip on his bayard tightened, his other hand which had gripped her shoulder to drive it though now winding around her for what may be the final time because he wouldn’t lie to himself. THIS WAS BAD and there was no telling if this damage could ever be reversed because he tried to think that because of what she was maybe it’d be okay but that thought was beat down by reality in an instant.
There was a lot he could have said next but nothing felt right. So much Rayne wouldn’t have deserved to hear on her possible deathbed when Keith couldn’t even bring himself to see the look in her eyes because HE WAS SCARED.
He was scared to lose and be left alone but then it’s not like he’d ever had a choice when it happened. Life dealt him an unfair hand there was nothing left to do about it.
❝ I’M SO SORRY… ❞
she's a sleepy lioness, but she also wants cuddles so she's going to make grabby hands at her boyfriend with a slight pout on her face.
Training was the one thing that could leave Keith well and truly exhausted by the end of it. Sure, missions could be taxing, but he didn’t always get to physically push himself on excursions involving his lion, so sparring with the bots- or more commonly now WITH RAYNE- seemed the way to go.
Of course by the end of it they’d both be slumped into the couches in the lounge down the hall, borderline dead to the world until Keith at least could get up and drag blue with him to the Galley. Or sometimes plans changed as they did now, a brow quirking as he’d regarded Rayne’s arms outreached toward him.
At first he was dismissive, shrugging it off as an amused smirk stretched across his face but about exactly ten seconds later he was scooting closer and hooking an arm around her, their bodies easily settling against each other comfortably.
❝ I think you almost dislocated my shoulder in that last pin. ❞ He muttered, rolling the right one which now felt UNREASONABLY SORE from having his arm fiercely yanked around to his back more than once. Rayne was a formidable opponent after all.
❝ IT WAS GREAT. ❞
