I just finished ep 27 of fated hearts and i need someone to explain a plot point to me because it's driving me crazy. Why the hell did Father Murong go around asking for his son to be saved and did all that shit when the Majesty had already pardoned him and his whole family (and I'm guessing that includes his son) ????

Unless i missed something, it seems like an unnecessary plot point.
