I am writing to request that the 3 absences you already put in the gradebook be dismissed, as it is the start of the semester and classes have not even begun yet. While I understand having foresight permits you to do this ahead of time, I actually opted out of prophecies in my student portal as I feel deterministic grading is too limiting.
