Every sunset I look out to the horizon, and watch amber colors fade into night. The absence of you has put a void in my soul.
I am left to rot.

Made a new official ref sheet for Jury 😌😌 so now I can finally draw decent clothes for her ejewkdwjdhwdk
Apranians love silk /anything/ and their sleepwear is purely always made of silk. The nights can get humid, so it’s standard practice to have silk sheets and silk sleepwear to try and maximize coolness. They’re unlike New Canians who prefer to bundle up with layers and instead wear as little clothing as comfortable, if possible.
could we have, like, a quick-ish summary of fate’s fiercest so far? i’m loving the artwork but have absolutely no clue what’s going on lol
Yeaahh I just realized to anyone scrolling thru my tumblr the actual plot of what’s going on might be hard to understand 😅
The Basics:
Before this group of weirdos was another adventuring party who called themselves’ Misery’s Flock. They formed as a party because of an employer named Charlay (who for context, is a vessel created for the sole purpose of acting out the Goddess Ramona’s plan). During that party’s time, a disease was spreading across the country that they were /supposed/ to stop before it reached the capital city. They had a package in their care that was to be delivered to a genasi who could help with making a cure. It was delivered, but many of the party members died and they had arrived too late. They technically failed, and the disease continued to wreak havoc for 10 years.
Fast forward to now. Ramona (Goddess of Fate, Death and Graves) has been searching for a new party to once again stop the spread of the plague that has now made its trek to a different country. Instead of relying on a mortal person to gather up members, she has Charlay and Elisheva (Goddess of Lies, Luck, and Trickery) to assemble a new group of people she has personally selected. One way or another, they all went to one city and were given a contract to become a party under Charlay’s name.
As a newly assembled group, Charlay sends crows to their locations to scout out different items and solve problems in villages and cities to bring them one step closer to ending the plague. The plan changed ever so slightly though. Originally, the idea was to gather old scattered dwarven mural pieces dedicated to the god Makana (Music, Joy, Medicine) so that he may gather enough power to stop the plague.
The party soon discovered that it wasn’t so much as the plague spreading, as it was the goddess Det (Disease, Poison, Cults) and her, well, cult, trying to bring about the apocalypse (as in, Pestilence, Famine, War, and Death). They’ve been trying to get enough power to Det to consume a mortal life that they’ve prepared and possess a vessel that they have cultivated for her for over 20 years, that vessel being Wendy (twin sister of Jasper). Everything they’ve done on this adventure so far has been an effort to stop the cult.
And everything they’ve done so far has just been build up to the main quest arc where they finally start to realize how much shit they’re in and how much is riding on their shoulders. Being saviors of the world is kind of a tough job lmao.
(I could get into the nitty gritty how just everything they’ve done but honestly it’s so much because I am NOT good at pacing lmao)
so another just general question that i’m a bit confused about:
without being too spoiler-y can you explain Jury as a character in general?
in yours and under’s drawings sometimes they have light skin, dark skin, or purple skin, red eyes or more human eyes, and an arm or no arm.
do they, like, change forms or go through one major change in the campaign?
No problem!! It’s been explained here and there but I suppose I haven’t actually sat down and went thru it in one post.
So firstly, Jury is an amputee! And she makes her own prosthetics. Their right arm is the one that is amputated, so pictured here I have the two prosthetics she has rn! The first one (white spirals) was the first one she made with magic. It was supposed to just mimic an actual arm, you know, look lifelike. The second one is her recent one, more powerful and acts as a conductive magic focus (although she doesn’t rlly cast much magic). It makes her stronger too! That’s why the arms are different, and why I depict her sometimes without it.
As for the skin and eyes, I don’t quite know what you mean by light skin, unless you’re referring to the sketches where I don’t color her in. But her natural skin tone is that beautiful dark purplish color, and I have the color saved on a palette so I always have it consistent (and of course, mine and Under’s colors are gonna be slightly different— and tumblr mutes my colors for some reason????). She is a dark elf, and in my campaign they comes in tones of blue, purple, or gray. Her blue eyes are also natural and were originally much lighter, as they’re sensitive to sunlight, though being raised where she was, the color deepened to what you see now.
The red eyes are actually from her disguise! On the right of the two photos is her disguise as a tiefling. She can’t do much in terms of illusion/glamour magic, but they can change their colors slightly and give themselves small horns and a tail! The disguise was out of survival reasons as they ran away from their home, but she’s gotten more comfortable being in her natural form over the course of having met Jasper.
I hope that answers your question!!
