There was something mildly revolting about Kaze’s behavior towards him. He trembled before him without even trying to mask his blubbering voice. Saizo’s glare became fierce, unsure of what was to follow; he was not expecting a pitiful grab along with more self-deprecating nonsense. His hands clenched into tight fists, holding back the urge to slap him out of this...

He bit his lip before relaxing his hands, stretching them out as he stayed in Kaze’s sudden hold. He wasn’t one for comfort; his father never taught him the usage of it. Saizo wasn’t meant to throw around his soft side to just anyone, not even to his family members. He had to remain tough, the way his mentors had trained him to become. To drop down into a tearful mess alongside Kaze would only be a slap to their faces.
There had to be a time and a place for it though, right? Right?
Where exactly does that come into play, and when does it end?
Saizo grunted softly, before aggressively pulling Kaze into a tight embrace. Suffocating, even. An awkward attempt of trying to relax his panicked brother. He would understand Saizo’s reasoning for his actions, he hoped. He squeezed Kaze’s shoulder before shaking him slightly, mumbling into his hair, “Enough.”
A pause, before adding, “You know better than this, Kaze. You’re not just embarrassing me right now, you know.”
How funny it was, that he was using the same words that the previous Saizo had once shared with him.
