@fatherliked ᴍᴀᴅᴇ sᴏᴍᴇ ʜᴜᴍᴀɴ ɴᴏɪsᴇs: Gives him a pet and readies his dinner. - Alfred
𝐀𝐂𝐄 was most well behaved in the old man’s presence. There was no barking from him, no putting his paws on the counter, not even a huff of a growl. He was loyal to the man maybe even more than he was to Bruce. As the old man cleaned Ace would follow from room to room. Laying out of the way, unless in the doorway if the vacuum was on. Where he sat, Ace would be close by near his shoes. If there was any stir anywhere in the house Ace would be there to protect, and he did enjoy the company.
He knew what time it was. Muzzle lifted to sniff at what goodies were being prepared for him. There was no going hungry in this house. Ace could hardly hold in his excitement, tail wagging, paws tippy tapping. He leaned into the pet before excitedly scrambling top where bowl was usually placed down and sitting as politely as he could.
❛ are you okay ? ❜ - alfred
𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒. @fatherliked
"Depends on who you ask. If you look at the pool of blood on the floor then no. But, other than that I'm fucking great."
@fatherliked said the stars aren’t going anywhere.
“ you must think i’m stupid. ”
she thinks she’s stupid, anyway; staring incessantly up at the sky. hoping that she’ll recognize some star, some constellation, some familiar point glittering in the darkness. but she’s standing on earth, billions of lightyears away from any of the stars she’d grown up under.
shayera laughs softly and shakes her head at herself. saying she’s embarrassed is an understatement.
“ i keep waiting, expecting them to change suddenly. sometimes i wish they were thanagarian stars, not earth’s. ”
@fatherliked said be careful, you might cut yourself.
“ it’s alright, alfred. ”
she’s made of stronger stuff than most; glass or steel can’t cut through thanagarian skin. besides, the entire mess is her fault---human spaces aren’t exactly designed for those who have wings. there’s no need to trouble alfred with it.
shayera picks up a few more ceramic shards, scooping them into her hands. she’s not exactly sure what the value of a ming dynasty vase is, but given that it’s in bruce’s house, it’s probably quite expensive.
“ maybe you should put away anything breakable next time i drop by. i’d hate to knock over another one. ”
" I've heard people use ear covers on their dogs. Perhaps I'll get you one for the next cleaning day, Master Ace." - Alfred
𝐀𝐂𝐄 only responded with a flick of velvet ear. He was still convinced the vacuum was an evil in the house. And had oftentimes tried to attack it, or warn the old human of its malintent. But his barks were never taken seriously no matter how loud he alerted.
Laid out on the tile floor under the table the man was sitting at, the shepherd sulked through breakfast. Ace snorted and lifted his heavy head to place it on the man's knee. At least hoping for half his tea biscuit this morning.
