Kosumoth the Hungerer’s Gift

Safrona earned a New underwater mount for Harvesting this big guy -- The Fathom Dweller. Wasn’t a bad quest chain. Nothing compared to the Lucid Nightmare, anyway >.> And I love the pretty octopus! I swear, this is all Saf really wants to do in this game, hunt secrets. And as a Warlock with Unending Breath, Saf likes exploring underwater more than most :p }

If you’d like to try your hand at this mount, its rather easy at level 120, just takes a bit of running around Legion content, locating hidden caves and such. This guide was quite helpful, as well as the Tomtom addon. A very special thank you to @ebonconclave’s Panzer Discord for tipping me off on the guide. :)

Ah yes, finally

Today I achieved “Fathom Dweller” from the hidden and unlockable world quest “DANGER: Kosumoth the Hungering” and it is simply an awesome mount!

It gives you around 108% swim speed and can be used in every underwater zone.

I got my fathom dweller last night and oh my god. It's the cutest jellyfish ever. (I'm even tempted to level my death knight through vashj'ir and I hate that zone because of my silly fear of deep water. We shall see)

So, apparently nobody on the US servers has gotten the Fathom Dweller yet.

I got the world quest today after doing the scavenger hunt quest last week and it’s for the pet so I guess it will tell you when the WQ rewards the mount?  Least that’s how it’s looking.

Maybe the US hasn’t gotten access to it yet or we need to do something different?  I dunno, but I do have the WQ now so I did somethin right.

I believe once you get attuned thats it, you will be eligible for the WQ. It does seem that WQ has respawn rate of at least 14 days

Ok, so I’m trying very hard to get my grubby claws on the Fathom Dweller mount because reasons.  I did the whole orb scavenger hunt then got the pet. Which is cool but I need my flying jellyfish monster.

So here is my question... do I need to do the orb scavenger hunt every week? Or is doing it once then going after the world boss on it’s own enough?  Or is the orb thing JUST to summon it and it doesn’t matter who?

A friend said they got it by accident so now I’m just boggling as to what I do and don’t need to do to get the precious.

Anyone know?
