What a morning. Went to get breakfast and stopped on my way home to keep an injured beaver company while waiting for animal control. Got hit by a car and his hind legs werent working. :( wish my little buddy a full recovery.

Severe thunderstorms going through Nebraska right now. Just watched as 80 mph winds ripped through my neighborhood and knocked down tons of branches. One branch on top of the house behind mine and even my neighbor’s trampoline flipped over their 6 foot fence and land upside down in their front lawn. The weather channel showing people driving through super low visibility and I can’t even imagine. Denton got 92 mph winds. Only good thing was no tornado sirens going off.

When you get Covid. :/ Second time I’ve had it. Last time was a little over three years ago. I have no clue how I dodged it for 3 years and someone at the job literally had it and didn’t mask at all. Still didn’t get it. Who gave me this fucking disease!?

You ruined my chance at bonding with my sister at a Fall Out Boys concert cause now I can’t go!!! 😭 it was 2 days away for fucks sake. God.

It’s a new year and my two cats who absolutely detest each other for boundary reasons, (the younger one said ef your boundaries years ago and my older one said ef you then!), are lying within 2 ft of each other. They hissed and growled before they settled apart and relaxed. Though whenever they make eye contact they give a very begrudging growl that isn’t very loud and relax again. I am absolutely shocked. I hope they both readjust and get better but this honestly might be a fluke. Love them both to death though.

Usually don’t post a lot of screen shots from games I play. But the fact Sylveon is standing menacingly behind Garchomp in the shadows is funny to me.

Shopping with my mother and nephews at the dollar tree. My youngest nephew, 7, found a fan and he’s super excited about it. It says ‘slay’ in white with gold glitter around it. “I think it says that because in some countries, they fight with fans.’

Me, eyeing my conservative mother whose buying him the fan cause he thinks its the coolest thing. “Sure. Lets go with that.”

As a manager in a corporate retail store. I can tell you I’ve seen the absolute worse in people, even before a pandemic, when I was still a regular employee.

Examples of how shitty these customers are and this is from people who wear and refuse to wear masks. Because god forbid.

1) had a customer get in my face and space while I was a ‘greeter’ at the front of the store. Loudly complaining about people not social distancing (irony) and that someone refused a mask. Legit, I cant do anything to customers because I’ll just lose my job or get my ass kicked by my store manager. I tell the customer this “That’s ridiculous! Ask them to leave or something!’ Like ma’am, you’re not even social distancing from ME.

2) My store opened up fitting rooms :).... :))))) so yeah, we have a single fitting room attendant. Who, by the way, most of the time just stand there doing nothing because who wants to try stuff on. Not the true point but after customer try stuff on, we put it in ‘quarantine’ for 24 hours and run it the next day. So not only do we get to damage our skin with harsh chemicals, gloves are now voluntary, we get to touch any and all germs you have on your bodies. Cool right? Had one customer complain and say she was going to try stuff on at home and bring it back. I can’t control this lady, this is literally a corporate thing. I HAVE NO CONTROL.

3) Please. FOR THE LOVE- If you’re a high schooler, wear a mask and don’t fucking party. You’re in college!? Don’t fucking party. We hired a lot of teens and early college kids for seasonal. One got COVID cause he was at a party with 90+ kids. :/ his girlfriend got it twice. One college gal who eventually just stopped showing up, got it three times because she lives in a sorority. Please. Just TRY can understand this is a dangerous thing happening in the US. Please. I’m begging.

4) we only have one side of registers open. We get complaints on social distancing all the time. We only line monitor for when it’s very busy. We also have these beautiful ‘6ft’ stickers on the ground. These giant blue dots on white tile. It is no way my fault is customers ignore them. I won’t let it be. Because you are still rational adults who can read. Act like it.

The list could go on. Had people say they weren’t going to shop with us anymore because we enforce masks. That’s fine, I don’t care. Had people cough on items before we did masks and I wanted to throw myself into a vat of bleach. Had a friend who worked in a grocery store catch it because someone else caught it and so on. Like, IT IS NOT HARD TO WEAR A MASK. IF YOU CANT, have a doctor’s note on you at all times so people leave you the fuck alone. If you refuse to wear a mask, get kicked in the shin. Fuck you. I won’t argue but honestly, you make it a lot harder to deal with a disease that could have BEEN under control a long time ago.
