I’m really glad Druck is dealing with these topics. I’m a white girl in America, and I have been to BLM protests. I never feel comfortable chanting “I can’t breathe.” But my white friends all tell me it’s totally okay and that it’s important and that I am actually bolstering the voices of Black people in the crowd by chanting with them.

So I’m grateful to Druck for putting into words why I don’t feel okay saying it. It’s because I CAN breathe. I’m not a victim here. It’s not my place.
