Feeling a little crazy about having introduced AO3 to Annukka Salama's Faunoidit-trilogy. When I last wrote about it, it wasn't a canon fandom. Now it is!!!

Alvin pulls through, and debuts as Robin. He wonders how Batman hasn’t noticed that his wounds heal too fast, that his bones don’t stay broken for long enough. He hopes he never does. He knows Bruce doesn’t appreciate being lied to, and not having told Batman about being a faunoid would definitely count as a lie.

At least he didn’t go with his original plan of pretending to be a hallucination of Jason. He could’ve done it, with some practice and sewing and the use of his amulet. That would’ve been more detrimental to B’s health, though, and if he’d been caught doing it, the consequences would’ve probably killed him. The anger Bruce would’ve felt at him over that would’ve caused too much hoard pain for him to survive.

Summary: Having a perfect memory can sure be a nuisance sometimes.

Based on Annukka Salama's Faunoids book trilogy, a faunoid is a person who has an animal's soul instead of a human one. This mostly presents as giving the person some psychological treats similar to those of their animal. Tim has an elephant's memory and Jason is possessive/protective like a wolf. You don't really need to know much more about the whole concept of faunoids to understand this.

Some details I remember from the books. As far as I know, the books are only available in Finnish.

This came about because I was thinking that I wanted there to be fanfic about faunoids. Not that many people can have read the books, since only so many people know Finnish, and not that many people write fanfic of Finnish content.
