Omg I have that same senior year dream!!! But I'm always like "wait I graduated two years ago. Fuck this" and like 'drop out' in my dream.
The way part of us is still present in our own dreams is so interesting to me! Like, we can identify something as being our perspective and go “‘k, i’ll go with it” but then have these strong reactions to symbols, even if it’s just to nope our way out of it.
If we want to get analytical about it, being taken back to school and saying “wait, i’ve already dealt with this, what more do you want?” can symbolize resolving old beliefs we hold about ourselves (taking roots in senior year) that are interfering with waking life - and school’s a place where ideas are/were tested. So maybe we’re having these dreams about going back and then bailing because there’s something we think we know but don’t?
I don’t know, I stopped trying to make sense of my dreams when I saw a guy with his wang out and it had several smaller penises branching out of it.
