Tim Burton has always been my favourite director as I've always loved his art style and creepiness factor added into amazing stories.

I grew up loving the slightly creepy, mystical, and macabre gothic genre. The misunderstood but not deserving of hate. My Autism might resonate with that last one. With my favourite video games being the indie horror games- Five nights at Freddys, Fran bow, Little nightmares, Night in the woods, Alice madness returns, Rusty Lake, and Omori. It seems the in development game Habromania will be a favourite in the future.

I loved the genre outside of games aswell, like in the joy of collecting and looking at animal bones and Taxerdermy, Dragon ornaments I collected through the years, darker, yet still favourited films like Watership down, and Coraline, and my deep love of folklore and slightly spooky mythical creatures. It's no surprise my favourite animal is the cat.

Of course I do love cutesy aswell. As shown in my collecting of soft toys, sylvanian families, and animal ornaments (mainly cats and rabbits) over the years. I do love Pokemon too. But I don't see that as negating anything. You can have multiple loves.

Despite Coraline being my favourite film and book (too bad, it turns out the author is a rapist), Tim Burton is my favourite director. My all time favourite of his is Corpse bride. I think his stop motion works are my favourites. His live action are great too. But so much more of his style is shown in stop motion imo. I'm over the moon he wants to start doing that medium again.

A dream come true, I got to see an exhibition in London last year on Tim Burton. I saw props, models, original art, costumes and more. They were so nostalgic and well made.

I have caught up with a lot of his films, usually when they first came out or were shown to me by family. But there were a few I haven't seen.

I'm not highlighting Batman returns or Batman yet as I can't remember the films well. Despite it being my favourite version of Catwoman and The Penguin. So I want to rewatch them.

I just watched Big Fish today, and the ending actually had me crying. It was a great film. I won't spoil it. This is actually why I wrote this post to gush over my joy of his work.

I have watched Wednesday the Netflix series aswell. With Enid being my favourite character. I was also happy how she wasn't turned into just a hairy human or overly "feminine" werewolf. But she is still a classic werewolf design.

I still need to watch his shorts. I've seen Frankenweenie (short and film), and Vincent. But there's many more to see.
