My fandom faves 🛐🥹 (kinda cheated cause some I did on who’s my fave in the movie/show not the whole series but shh). There’s a lot more, especially those who are super close second, but here’s a handful that are mainly my top faves. I wonder if it says anything about me? I like sarcastic badass ones, the morally grey, or utterly relatable af people? I didn’t try very hard on this cause it’s just to show them all but yeah.

My top 9 favourite Fictional Characters, in no particular order.

Collecting together traits that these 9 have in common, apparently my "type" is:

I think it would be cool for everyone else to do this too, but no pressure.

In no particular order, except when there is an upload problem and one picture accidentally becomes way bigger than the others.

Top 5 fictional characters?

In no particular order of favourites:

1. Lyra Silvertongue, Pantalaimon, Willy Parry, Kirjava from His Dark Materials. Yes, those are two or even four characters. Irrelevant. Their atoms will find each other.

2. Sabriel, from The Old Kingdom series. She graduates from Sixth Form and promptly goes off to put the Undead to rest and save the world, while also exchanging snark with the most snarky of cats who is not actually a cat.

3. Miles Vorkosigan, from The Vorkosigan Saga. His quest to make his place in the universe strikes deep with me. 'If a hunger for identity were translated into, say, a hunger for food, he'd be a more fantastic glutton than Mark ever dreamed of being. Is it irrational, to want to be so much, to want so hard it hurts? And how much, then, was enough?'

4. Granny Weatherwax, from the Discworld series. Greatest witch in the Discworld. Hag of Hags. Utmost expert in Headology. Can't steer her broomstick to save her life.

5. Margarita, from The Master and Margarita. 'I'm going to become a witch!!!'

10 of my favourite fictional characters, listed in no particular order and from different stages of my life:

Professor Remus J. Lupin from Harry Potter. Why? Because I have a very soft, very vulnerable spot for characters who bore unimaginable cruelties at world’s hands and stayed kind despite them.

Georgia Nicolson - I used to love those books as a 12-year-old gal :’3

the 9th/12th Doctor - kindness in the face of all the terrible things he’s seen and done. Need I say more?

Sherlock Holmes (or Jim? Mycroft?? I LOVE Mrs Hudson but I think I might like Gellert Lestrade more O...o Merlin, it’s hard to chose just one!!) - why? The neurodivergency! The wit and the way he keeps his cool! I love the book Holmes for being a gentleman at all times and the BBC one for his brokenness and the way he tries to navigate the world of emotions with only a little experience of his own

The Joker (from some of the DC comics and the Dark Knight. Joaquin Phoenix also did a wonderful job :’3) - Yeah, besides kind characters I do have a thing for quality villains as well. Mainly because their backstories and the fact that their potentional redemption arc would be damn interesting.

Artemis Fowl (or Holy Short??) from the Artemis Fowl book series. Or was it Mulch? Or Root?? SO MANY great characters :’)) I love Artemis because of his character developement from a mean and cold boy to someone else entirely and Holy bcause of the way she stays true to herself no matter what.

Megamind!! - Villain? Check! Kind when it comes to it? Check!

Jonathan Sims (TMA) - um... just.. a whole lotta kindness and brokenness hidden underneath an unapproachable persona. (...villain? As well, on some level. - See? Irresistible.)

Foggy Nelson from Daredevil - So! Much! Kindness! And! Softness! And! Humour! And! Suffering! Yayy!

Javert (or Grantaire??) - ....I mean. After reading the list, are you even surprised? Difficult past and the potential for wonderfully soul-crushing Valjean-esque redemption arc is there!!! if he (spoiler) didn’t go for a swim at the end O...o ..I realise I mainly enjoy him so much because of the potential he has but it is what it is and I’m not gonna berate my brain for latching onto good AUs :’3

(I do realise these are basically all men and I do think reading something female-centric could be very beneficial for me but that’s future M’s thing. Now, the list looks like this :’))

The cutest addition ever to the Star Wars Universe: The Child. Probably also the only child I’ll ever put on such a list.

I think I like to be Frankie Bergstein when I’m old.

The best witch and teacher, Minerva McGonagall. Still a favourite.

(Honorable mention to the best mum and fierce duellist, Molly Weasley. How I wished I’d grown up in The Burrow.)

Moira Rose, because her character surprised me in all the good ways.
