To be honest, there's not much to say about Lena and Fay relationship. In the first season, they don't know each other at all. Only after the Magica De Spell finale does Fay find out about Lin from her nephews, and this arouses her interest. She already had a hunch that Lena hadn't disappeared at all, but she didn't tell Webby about it. What could have happened in the second season? Most likely, Lena, or more precisely Webby, would have turned to Fay for help so that Lina could learn to control her magic. Fay, although she doesn't do magic herself (she only has a magic wand), is very well versed in magic and the problems associated with it. Therefore, she would most likely agree to try to help.
