In your 1980s AU, would your OC Laya Muavin take the place of Luis 😋?
I have considered Laya being Jean, Bateman's secretary, because.... You know, close assistant with a crush, but whenever I create an AU/story concept I become very hesitant to insert my OCs into it because I like the idea of taking the canon approach with Treehouse of Horror concepts, where only using pre-existing characters are used to retell the story.
I'll probably doodle Laya as Jean because coming up with outfits is fun but it wouldn't be used in like, an actual project based on the concept. I feel like a 7-minute abridged version of American Psycho with a different work environment would cut that sort of thing out because it's not crucial to the narrative.
Though if you were to push me into coming up with a Luis-parallel..... Would Patty be too obvious? I feel like there's a joke somewhere to be had where the twins are brought on set as sideshows (sponsored by a cigarette brand; insert joke about Reagan deregulating advertisments in TV programming in the 80s) and Lindsey gets Selma (who's flirting with Krusty and Lindsey can't afford another relationship scandal with the star) mixed up with Patty while trying to kill her in the bathroom.
