Ryo Langley is 26 years old, and works as a psychiatrist at The Stepping Stone. She has lived in Devil’s Point for 8 years, and is portrayed by Priyanka Chopra.

Ryo was born in London, England and stayed there until 8 years ago when she decided she needed to start a life for herself and moved to Devil’s Point. She grew up with her father as a an only daughter. Her mother died at birth and even though Ryo’s father was heartbroken, he still was the best father he could’ve been.

Ryo’s father, Blake noticed something was different with her since she was very young. She knew how to read and write when she was 3 and hacked corporations when she was 8. She learnt many languages and learning was the only thing to make her happy as it was very hard for her to interact with other children.

Ryo started to interact with other teenagers and learnt how to talk like them and eventually became a “normal teenager”. She started to date boys but quickly found out that she didn’t like relationships and called them “ a creation of society”. Ryo still had a little bit of a hard time connecting with other people.

When it was time to go to University, Ryo wasn’t sure what she wanted to do but quickly decided she wanted to help people like her, that are “different” and became a psychiatrist. She moved to Devil’s Point and started working at the local hospital.

Ryo doesn’t have any other family memebers that she was told about, she is still very close to her father and talks to him on a daily basis. Ryo doesn’t have many friends but she is very caring and protective towars the ones she has, sometimes even being a little overprotective.

Ryo loves children but her biggest passion are animals, she has a beautiful brown labrador called Kaiser who she treats like her own little child. 

She eats very unhealthy and drinks a bit too much alcohol and sometimes even does marijuana because she claims it calms her nerves. But Ryo loves to exercise and does it on a daily basis.

With Hal as her father, Lana is capable of handling her liquor. Whiskey, vodka, bourbon: she knows the best brands and how to take them straight. Tequila is her drink of choice; though usually mixed into a tequila sunrise. She has a fake ID, though she doesn’t need it. No one would dare tell a Viper no in their own establishment.

While Lana isn’t the biggest of the bunch, she can take down someone twice her size. She has been practicing self defense since she was young; her father knew it was an important life skill, especially for a Viper. And Lana has never been one to hold back. If you get under her skin, expect to end up on your ass.

Lana has a locked and loaded 2016 mr2 Spyder; it’s black and matte and she takes ridiculously good care of it. She’s a bit of a reckless driver, but she always manages to keep the car safe. She gets it washed once a week, detailed once a month, and the routine maintenance logs are updated to the day.

BIOGRAPHY

Trigger Warning: Kidnapping

Phillip and Greg Heartfield were a happy couple living in LA with their young son Edward. Reasonably well off, the small family was happy. Then one night in the middle of December Greg came home late to find a baby wrapped in a blanket on their doorstep, and close to death from the cold. Taking the baby inside they managed to bring her back from the brink of death, and after a long decision they ended up adopting her and naming her Riley.

Growing up Riley and her brother were happy. She was always aware of how she came to be with the Heartfield’s, but she could only ever see it as a good thing as she had an incredibly loving family. When she was twelve they adopted again, and things seemed better than they had ever been. At school she was well liked, though part of her was aware that it was down to her appearance. But she was still young, and didn’t really mind the attention she got because of it.

The small family had always been close to the Jenkins, who Philip knew though work. They were like family and Riley had always just called them her uncle, aunt, and cousins. And so it was when she was thirteen that she went to babysit. The only problem was, she never came back from it. When her parents called, Simon answered saying that she was never coming as he had cancelled after his wife had left with the kids. Samuel was in the police force and immediately started trying to find the missing girl, but she seemed to have vanished into thin air. No one had any idea she was planning to run away, and it seemed more likely that someone had taken her, but there was just no evidence. At least that was what everyone believed. The truth was that she had arrived to babysit. Simon Jenkins was the only one there, and he told her that his wife had left him the week before and taken their sons with her. Feeling sorry for the man, she sat down with him and talked to him. But that was the last thing that she remembered happening.

When she woke up she was handcuffed to a pipe on the wall. She screamed out for help, but no one answered her. Eventually Simon came in, she begged him to let her go, saying she wouldn’t tell anyone what happened, but he refused. He refused to allow himself to be left again, and keeping her locked up in his basement was the only way he could make sure of that. She cried, and begged to be allowed to leave, but as time went on she realised this was never going to happen and that she was his prisoner and that he could do whatever he wanted to her and she couldn’t stop him.

In the time that she was there, little changed. She only ever saw Simon and she couldn’t even hear any other signs of life, even when she knew his sons were in the house. To begin with she had fought back against the man, but as time went on she realised how hopeless it was and ended up becoming obedient to him, if only to protect herself from his punishments. As his sons got older, he eventually showed them the girl trapped in the basement. His older son took after his father, and he could treat her just as badly. She never learnt what his younger son thought as fate finally stepped in.

Days turned to months, months turned to years, but still there was no sign of the missing girl. Her family decided to go on their first holiday since she had vanished, and accidently left their phones behind. When they returned they had hundreds of missed calls. Not thinking much of it, Greg left to go to his job having been told that he needed to go in ASAP. To his amazement it wasn’t anything to do with the hospital, but the fact that whilst they were away, Riley had been found. The police had been given a tip off whilst they were away. No one knew had told Riley that it had been Simon’s younger son, after he had begged them not to.

But being back in the world was never going to be simple. She doesn’t want to talk about what happened, and as of yet has barely spoken a word of it. Feeling like she could never fit in and have a normal life, she took a job as a baker and is living with her brother. All she wants to do is forget the past, but it seems to be haunting her, no matter what she does.

Riley is a deeply compassionate woman, and will do anything to help people if she sees it within her power. However after everything she finds it incredibly difficult to trust anyone and refuses to accept drinks or food off people. She tried to be friendly, but she also tends to simply agree with whatever the other person has said, even if she doesn’t really agree with it.

BIOGRAPHY 

Aubrey was born in North London to an affluent family who already had two daughters. She is the youngest of three children, and thus had considerable spark growing up thanks to the liberties she was able to take with her parents. Both academics they were often away giving lectures at various universities and therefore she was brought up by a nanny a lot, wrapping the woman around her little finger until she could get away with pretty much anything. The only thing she would ever put her all into were her dance classes, she attended ballet and jazz from the age of three, and then started street dance when she was nine. It became Aubrey’s favorite thing, a way for her to express herself and really come out of her shell. Although her parents were busy people they would come and watch her dance performances and this was when they really started to take notice of their youngest. It was as if their eyes had been opened to the potential their daughter held, and suddenly her dance career had a significant weight placed on it.

It went from something fun the girl would do once a week to keep herself trim and limber, to something that her whole life was now hanging off. She was put on a strict meal plan, sent away to ballet school at the age of eleven to train, and even placed on steroids to stunt her growth so she maintained a childlike dancers body even through puberty. Perfection became Aubrey’s main focus, and as a result of being so focused on it she became hostile and hard in her demeanor. She would punish herself painfully for anything that she might do wrong, or that she thought she’d done wrong, and was always striving to be the best. When she turned nineteen the girl joined the Royal Ballet and by twenty one she was the youngest Prima Ballerina in the companies history. However, the pressure this put on her made the girl start to break down, although only in private. While on the outside she looked like very spirit of perfection her thoughts became darker, her self destruction more intense, and her low spells more frequent. Her anxiety got so intense Aubrey was put on Klonopin to control it surrounding a certain spell of performing as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, however since it is highly addictive and she found herself needing more and more to suppress the fear that would well up inside her, therefore the girl has been dependent on the medication ever since. She was only meant to be on it for about three months, but that was nearly two years ago.

In order to get some kind of self validation Aubrey is incredibly promiscuous with very low self worth she will sleep around with seemingly no care in the world about it. If she’s not in the studio dancing it’s likely she can be found at the gym, at one of the various bars in the city, or swimming in the pool in the basement of the apartment building. It’s best not to cross the girl if you can help it because she’ll verbally rip you to shreds at her first chance she gets. Even just look at her the wrong way and you’re history. With a classic British brittle sense of humor and sense of entitlement that comes with her upbringing where she wanted for nothing, Aubrey is a force to be reckoned with. However, if you can get past her hard exterior forced up by her deep insecurity you’ll find someone with a genuine heart underneath who is actually just longing to be accepted for who she is, flaws and all, after being brought up in a way that made her feel that anything less than perfection wasn’t good enough.
