FBI scam Signal Boost(sorry for misspellings btw)
So about two days ago i reblogged a post about a FBI virus scam thats been going around and i have never been happier to reblog a post because guess whose phone just got it.
I wasnt doing anything than usual i opened up google to look for some things on amazon clicked on the usual links and got the fbi warning pop up. FOr a second it scared me saying i have to ay a fine for child pornogrphy and illigal content on my phone. But luckily cause of this damn site iknew it wasnt real and automatically shut my phone down. Its a hard virus to get rid because it disguises itself as a normal application. In my case it was easier since i have only had my phone for a day i could factory reset easily since i didnt have much on it to begin with. Here are my tips to gettting rid of it that really helped.
1. Turn your phone off as soon as you realize it is a virus and pop up. Turn your phone back on under safe mode, every phone has its own version. If you have a 5s Android hold the power button until “samsung 5s” appears, realease th epower button and immidetly hold the volume down button til it completly turns on, lower left corner should say safe mode. this keeps the virus from operating on your phone so you can remove it. The hard part is what to do next.
2. If you dont factory reseting i reccomend doing it to not risk it but if not, go under your apps, then application manager. The virus name is constantly changing making it difficult to figure out which it is. A good option is to go through each app and delete any that dont seem familliar, useful, or you know for a 100% fact you dont need it. TO be on the safe side you can delete all the aplications you installed since you can re instal later.

Be safe you guys, if the fbi was really after you for stuff of this extreme they wouldnt be asking for fines theyd be knocking down your door now.
