You had approached John when things began to weigh heavy on your mind.
Jacob had arrived at The Seed Ranch only a few days ago, and you've been infatuated with him.
The man was so strong.
So fearless.
And dear God you wanted to jump him.
But it wasn't like you to think like this about anyone else.
You haven't felt this strong of a desire for anyone in your life.
But he brought life into you, especially when your eyes met and held for a moment longer than they should.
Maybe he thought it was a challenge.
Or maybe he wanted to make sure that you were indeed blushing because you've been caught staring.
Either way, you knew you were done in because of this man and you needed to get it off your chest.
Only thing is, you had to confess if you wanted help.
"Ah, (first name). How may I help you?"
"I would like to... Confess."
Of course, confessing was usually brought out 'unwillingly', so this matter confused John.
When you had joined Eden's Gate, you had confessed to all your sins.
Pride.
Greed.
You had abandoned your sins in favor of your work with the flock.
Sins can always evolve, but he didn't imagine a new one would arise.
"What is it you'd like to confess?"
"I have developed the sin lust."
"And may I ask for whom?"
"Your brother."
He pauses before a chuckle leaves his lips.
"I should have expected you'd go after someone like Josep-"
"No no... The other one."
He stares for a moment, seeing the blush rise on your cheeks.
Then it dawns.
And then he's chuckling.
Which leads to laughing.
"I never expected him to be your type, (first name)."
"Please don't judge me, John-"
"I'm not judging, but I find it rather interesting since you've just now admitted such. How long have you been holding onto this sin?"

"Let me guess, since he arrived?"
He has that knowing smirk.
Knowing that the little bird among their flock has a crush and doesn't know how to handle such.
He's also taken note of his brother eyeing you.
Sizing you up and getting that hint or rosy when you catch his gaze.
Two people too scared to talk or acknowledge what's going on.
Oh he'll have a field day with this information.
"Yes."
"Well, I believe lust isn't the worst of the sins to be purged. Perhaps your mistaking what your feeling truly is. Dwell on it for a bit and come back to me if it hasn't resolved itself."
"Okay, John. Thank you."
He leaves you to go straight for his brother.
He knows it's a small betrayal to tell him how you feel, but the ginger brute needs to know that his feelings for you are reciprocated.
He finds him in the woods of Holland Valley, that shit eating grin on his face and arms crossed over his chest.
"She likes you too, y'know."
Jacob misses his shot, the deer in the deeper part of the woods scattering.
"You made me miss."
"And you didn't hear me, soldier boy. She. Likes. You."
"Who?"
John sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
It's aggravating when his brother is only half listening, and especially when it's about something like this.
"You know who. The girl you've been eyeballing. (First name)."
It slowly dawns on the soldier as he leans back agaisnt a tree, confusion in his gaze.
"How do you know?"
"She confessed her sins."
"Oh, just what sin did she confess that makes you think she wants me?"
"Lust."
It's the soldiers time to blush, clearing his throat as he looks away.
This had to be some kind of joke.
He surely wasn't your type.
You seemed so sweet and yet you saw interest in HIM!?
John had to be pulling his leg.
"If you don't believe me, big brother, I suggest you go talk to her and see what she has to say. I'm very sure she'll confess to you as she has to me."
"Bullshit. If you're setting me up John-"

He has to see himself.
Has to see if you really do think of him like that or not.
Because he can't even begin to describe how he would feel if you didn't and this was some sick little game to toy with his emotions.
He's been toyed with enough in his lifetime. He doesn't need that to happen again.
He finds you at your quarters when they finally get back.
It's late, and he knows you must be asleep by now but is pleasantly surprised when you answer the door.
He's also surprised by the casual attire and the blush rising on your cheeks just from him being there.
"So, John told me of your sin..."
"Yes well you see I-"
"If you really feel that way then say it to my face."
He's blunt, tone maybe a little harsh and snappy but he means no malice.
It's just straight-forward, like the military was to him.
"I-I... I um... I have feelings for you..."
He sees you hiding your face in your hands and that has a no tolerance in his book.
He knows your a shy thing but he can't have you hiding your face.
Not when he now knows the truth and has a glimmer of hope.
He takes your hands in his own, gaze almost soft as he brings them away from your face.
"Would you believe me if I said I shared the same sin with you?"

His island is called New Eden can’t change my mind on this
Named himself Father
Title would also include father (Thinking either Reliable or Friendly)
Loves all his villagers no matter how they look.
Everyone is welcome in New Eden after all
Sends gifts to both his family members and villagers almost daily
Would want to have 3 villagers that come close to his family.
Fluffy for Faith, either Keaton or Lopez for John and either Lobo or Grizzly for Jacob
Doesn’t cheat or time skip at all, plays at least an hour or 2 a day. He is a very patient man
His home will most likely have one of the rooms to look like the inside of a church
The rest is surprisingly cozy
His other remaining villagers would be most likely those who are often considered ugly or not wanted; Elise, Chops, Freckles, Rodney, Gloria, T-Bone and Bella
Besties with all of them
John:
You bet your ass this man cheated his way to a 5 star island.
Island is most likely airplane or sky related.
Title would probably be along the lines of Flying gifted one or something like that
His island is surprisingly well designed and does look like a fancy rich neighborhood.
Definitely has wallpaper in home with airplanes on it. Probably even made the design himself so it’s his plane. (most likely in his bedroom)
The main room is based of his ranch.
Designed some of his clothes in game as well
Only fancy looking villagers are allowed to live on HIS Island and would buy amiibo cards to replace his ugly ones. (Joseph adopted Rodney from him)
Would teach his villagers inappropriate catchphrases or make them say YES.
Speaking of Yes, just in front of his airport there is pattern that says: SAY YES on top of his road
Rich in bells because of turnips and he totally abused the duplicate glitch with help of Jacob
Definitely plays multiple hours a day. He even once played 24 hours because he was making his island perfect. Did get scolded by Joseph afterwards
Villagers would include: Alli, Ankha, Olivia, Kitty, Raymond, Julian, Marshal, Colton, Blanche and Pecan
His cat villagers are his favorites.
Jacob:
Only started playing after John and Faith kept bugging him about it
He won’t admit it but the game actually helps him relax
Island name would probably be quite normal compared to his brothers.
As a Title he decided to call himself respected grandpa, John now call him grandpa
Everything is very organized in his island. Sometimes looks more like a military base
Got quite some bells because of the duplicate glitch. Aside from that Jacob barely cheats but he does turn back the clock if he wasn’t able to play a few days. He even keeps track of the dates when he was able to play.
His home is more of a family home mixed with a few gym equipment.
Enjoys fishing and probably got the golden fishing rod before anyone else in his family.
Like Joseph he likes to send gifts to his family, but he doesn’t see the point in writing letters to villagers.
His villagers are Wolfs or Dogs.
His villagers would include: Skyle, Fang, Wolfgang, Audie, Freya, Vivian, Butch, Daisy, Shep and Cherry
Best friends with Audie, thinks the story of the grandma is very touching. Butch is his spirit animal
Faith
Definitely the first one to get the game.
Her island reached 5 stars the legit way.
Island would be called The Bliss
Title is most likely Flower-Loving Free Spirit
Actually owns a lot of amiibo cards because she collected them when she was playing on the 3ds
Her island is mostly nature and a lot of white flowers.
Her home most likely done in pastel colors and she made a full on home including kitchen and bathroom.
Lot of her clothes are white.
Really jealous on John for having Marshal. She would also love Fluffy but is touched by Joseph picking fluffy to be his faith on his island.
Plays almost as much as John but does keep a healthy life style. Some hours are also Faith leaving her switch on standby mode while she is doing her work.
Her villagers would be cute and a lot are white or pink and a lot more females.
Calls them her angels and sends letters to them daily.
Her villagers would include: Gayle, Annalisa, Lolly, Bob, Judy, Maple, Fuchsia, Cookie, Flora & Whitney
Loves them all but is especially in love with Whitney which she was allowed to take over from Jacob.
Rip the Seed Family, you guys would’ve loved Ethel Cain.
I know people headcanon John having a cat. I don't mind it, but a thought of
him and his cat being in perfect "pet parent" relationship and when John gets himself a partner, and cat is all of a sudden is absolutely smitten with them, now almost completely ignoring John.
