Guess who just finished the next chapter of Friends Don’t Get Engaged!!

I still need to do some heavy edits of the next two chapters and then write the epilogue, but it’s progress!

I am! I just dont know when...

I have the the rest of it planned out, and I've even written a good portion of it. I just was taking an indefinite break from it and now I haven't gotten around to it. (Also, I keep misplacing the outline..oops)

I've been spending most of my time working on my COBB fic, but I plan to take a break from it soon and hopefully start working on that one again!

FDF2 Update

The first “official” update for the sequel! (If you have no idea what I’m talking about, you should definitely go read Freinds Don’t French-Kiss)

The plan right now is to have five chapters with a sixth one that will be an epilogue. The format of this fic will be just a little bit different, alternating between Simon and Baz in the present and flashbacks to the time that has been skipped over between the end of the first fic and this one, focusing on important moments in their “engagement.” Also, there will be one or two new points of view added to the fic.

As of right now, I’m almost done writing the first chapter, and I would like to at least have the first three or four finished before I begin posting, but this would mean that I probably wouldn’t be able to post every other day like I did with FDF. It would be a little more staggered and unpredictable, but if that’s okay with you all, it’s fine with me.

I would actually like to begin posting on my birthday if I could as like a present to myself or whatever, but I think that’s a highly unrealistic goal because it’s going to take me a while to write the chapters, have them beta’d, and do edits on them. I’m going to try to finish chapter 1 tonight and get a good start on chapter 2 tomorrow, though, so we’ll see.

Before this post gets too long, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has shown their support for this sequel. I was worried that people might hate the idea, and it makes me happy to hear that people are excited for it. I can’t wait for you all to read it!

You ever just wanna share a fic all at once instead of chapter by chapter?

That’s how I feel about fdf, but I am restraining myself from doing that. But I will be posting a new chapter every other day, so it won’t take too long to post it all :)

Okay, I’m gonna go ahead and call it. It is very unlikely that I will be able to get chapter 6 of fdf up tomorrow like I’m supposed to. Like, a bunch of things are kinda up in the air atm, and I’m so tired and busy, so I haven’t gotten the chance to look at in a while. 

I will try to get it up sometime Wednesday, but I’ll have to just wait and see. I’m terribly sorry for the wait.

I’m going to see if I can knock out chapter 2 of fdf2 today because I haven’t worked on this fic in nearly a week and have only written the first chapter
