The village of Timotheos really knew how to throw a party. They played all the same songs Hapi remembered from her childhood, and her feet remembered the dances better than her head. The music, the food, the dance, the laughter of friends and family-- there was only one thing that could make this night better.
Hapi marched up to the only person who had not answered the call of the music and crossed her arms. “You’re not sitting there all night, Eddy,” Hapi stated.
Edelgard shifted uncomfortably in her chair. The chair she had sat in all night that Hapi was getting dangerously close to tossing into the fire pit. “I will join you soon,” Edelgard said, not looking at her girlfriend.
Sighing hadn’t been dangerous for a few months now but Hapi still held one in on reflex as she rolled her eyes. She reached out, grabbed Edelgard by the wrists, and pulled her towards the dance circle.
“Hapi--” Edelgard was cut off by Hapi taking both her hands and holding them tight.
“Try and keep up,” Hapi said in warning. Then they were off into the music.
The song was fast, and Hapi had to move faster than normal to compensate for Edelgard’s fumbling steps. But eventually they found the rhythm together. Hapi even caught Edelgard laughing more than once. Though they spun one another and dodged other dancers and tripped over their own feet at times-- the pair never let go of each other.
At last the song came to an end. Hapi dragged a sweaty, smiling Edelgard back to that stupid chair. “Not so bad, right?” Hapi sat in the chair and pulled Edelgard into her lap.
Edelgard wrapped an arm around her neck. “You declined to join the White Heron Cup, as I recall” Edelgard countered, chest heaving as she caught her breath.
“Competitions aren’t for me. And dancing like that wouldn’t have won me the cup anyway.” Hapi lay her her cheek on Edelgard’s arm. “Why did you make me drag you out there?”
A new song started up before Edelgard answered. “I stand out a fair bit here. I didn’t wish to draw more attention to us by trying to join a dance I didn’t know.” She kissed the top of Hapi’s head. “I don’t want to embarrass you.”
Hapi held Edelgard around the waist and nuzzled into her shoulder. “You’re lots of things, Eddy, but you’re not an embarrassment. If anything, sitting around while everyone else is having a good time will make you stand out more.” She sent a smirk up at Edelgard. “One more dance?”
“One more dance.” Edelgard kissed her forehead. As they stood and headed back to the dancing hand in hand, Hapi could have sworn the stars above the village of Timotheos burned all the brighter.

Hoo boy, there are a few ways to take this. "Hates crests and Flirts about it" meets "Hates crests and Fights about it". Where have I seen this before? ;)
I honestly don't know if Sylvain would hit on Edelgard in a C support like he does with most of his other C supports with women. Maybe their C support is a little like Sylvain and Leonie's-- Edelgard stops Sylvain at random and is like "Not that I’m complaining, mind you, but why is it that you have never once flirted with me? I h’ve heard the rumors of your behavior. I thought once you joined our class, I would have to brace myself."
And Sylvain would be surprisingly matter-of-fact about it. Explain that she's a princess and doesn't need to marry into nobility or find a husband with a crest to give her status. So Sylvain doesn't need to worry about pushing her away like he does the rest. "You get it, right? I bet guys fall all over themselves trying to become the next ruler of the Empire with you."
Just as Edelgard is like "That is... oddly insightful of you." Sylvain follows up with a joke like "And I'm pretty sure Hubert would have my head if I made a move on you, haha!" and get out of there. But Edelgard isn't buying it and considers she may have found someone she can talk to with first hand experience about how horrible the crest system is.
After that support, I think it likely Edelgard would try as she did with Lysithea in their B and A supports (minus the cake. What would be the equivalent for Sylvain I wonder?). Get Sylvain talking about his thoughts towards crests and gentle him into the idea of a world where they hold less meaning. Is Sylvain into it? Does he think she’s talking nonsense? Either way, I’d like their B support to be sort of the inverse of the C support: HIM realizing SHE dislikes crests as much as he does. Kindred spirits.
However you slice it, any supports between Sylvain and Edelgard have to concern crests in some way. Their experience with crests drive their character arcs, and I think it would be nice if their supports lead them to a like mind and shoulder to lean on.
(That’s not to mention their different experiences with family! I just realized that’s a whole different ball game! Would they touch on Edelgard losing all her siblings and Sylvain losing Miklan all because of crests??? Much to think about...)
Nowi is great! My go-to dragon unit in Awakening. Sometimes her supports can feel a little one note (when they harp about her immaturity versus her age) but her personality is refreshing and her way of speaking is so different from others in the game that it's almost comical ("This is just the worst. Day. EVER! *sob!*").
Favorite moment of theirs
Maybe because I also like Gregor but my favorite Nowi moment is her recruitment chapter, when Gregor "chases" her onto the map. Their dialogue, the Shedpards’ reactions, the ensuing confusion when she changes into a dragon; it’s a great moment XD
Gregor: Please, be keeping down with the voice! You give away position! Very bad!
Nowi: My throat is dry, my shoes are full of sand, and some big weirdo is trying to KILL ME!
Gregor: Oy, you break Gregor's heart! Why you treat like villain?
Favorite support chain
Gaius is hilarious in the first place but his personality bouncing off Nowi’s makes for a funny conversation. Trying to explain his type when it comes to women but she’s taking everything so literally he can’t even fathom where her minds jumps. A winning combo! XD
My dream FEH alt for them
Hmmm torn between Picnic or Pirate. She loves to play so being outside with friends fits her well, but dressing up like a pirate also sounds like something she’d enjoy.
Headcanons and/or ships I have
No real headcanons but there’s a few ships I enjoy for her! Ricken is top of the list for sure. I like her zeal for life bringing out that childish side he hides away. Go to festivals! Have fun!
My other ship is Gregor-- which is mostly because when I first played FEA I didn’t think much on the romance part of things, I just paired up people that entered on the same map (see also Virion and Sully). Still. Their support chain is one of my favorites and I like matching up “old man” Gregor with someone like Nowi. Big fan of ‘why does that work’ couples! lol
Favorite art of them
Probably her resplendent special attack art. It’s one of the few times she actually looks scary.
Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance both deserve better accessability. I, with my GameCube and Wii, can play without jumping through hoops. But they’re such a great pair of games! I want everyone to be able to play! D:

I have very many but let me pick three.
Smash Bros. Melee Fire Emblem Theme: Whenever this played in Smash, I knew I was in for a good time. I loved playing as Roy back in the day and part of why is because I knew he belonged to where this song was from XD
Blazing Blade “Winds Across the Plains”: Just invokes good memories. The music means “Ah good you’re here, now the story can start. Let’s settle in.” Did I ever beat this game? No. Do I love it to pieces? Yes. Music is very powerful.
Three Houses “Between Heaven and Earth”: An epic. It really underscores everything you had been fighting towards in that moment. It’s not victory music-- it’s ‘Give It Your All musicand is simplyly glorious.

café au with petra and bernadetta? (hope you’re having a nice day!)

Imagine Bernadetta has worked at that cafe for a good while now. Knows how everything works, knows her co workers, etc. She's still a bundle of anxiety every day and wishes she could work solely in the back room but, eh. At least Byleth, her manager, understands when she needs a few minutes alone in the supply closet.
One day while Bernadetta is covering the front, Petra walks in and tries to order something. Only her Fódlani isn't great. Bernadetta gets flustered because she doesn't want to offend this person but she really can't understand what Petra is asking for.
Finally, desperate, Bernadetta comes out from behind the counter, takes Petra by the hand, and leads her around so they're standing right under the menu boards. She gives Petra one of their long stirring sticks and points up at the menu, face red with embarrassment. But Petra brightens and nods and uses the spoon to point out exactly what she wants to order.
Even after Petra leaves-- with her order done correctly, mind you-- Bernadetta still feels ashamed she acted that way. She vents to Byleth that it was humiliating and she feels bad for the customer and she's terrified of it happening again and please don't be mad I brought a stranger behind the counter!
Byleth listens but doesn't really give any great advice. The next day, however, they give Bernadetta a brochure of the current menu. "If that ever happens again, us this instead. It's more convenient. Also please don’t manhandle our customers." Bernadetta is grateful.
The next time Petra comes in, Bernadetta is ready with the menu. She urges Petra to point to what she wants. Petra is happy that this interaction goes so much smoother, and orders effortlessly. She even asks Bernadetta to pronounce some words and then copies down the word phonetically so she can practice it later.
Within a month, the brochure menu is no longer needed and Bernadetta feels a lot less anxious about helping out up front. Because there’s always the chance her good friend Petra shows up <3
(Bonus: Whenever a surly or “scary looking” customer comes in, Bernadetta will have them point on the brochure menu as well, just to make double sure she doesn’t mishear their order and piss them off by making it wrong. It takes well over a month for her to stop scrambling for the brochure when Hubert or Felix come in.)
