your point abt cis actors playing trans characters is so relevant - it's honestly so uncomfortable and belittling
i totally agree, i’m honestly so torn about that movie because it’s quite problematic and i dont want to support it, but at the same time if it doesnt do well, i feel like it will mean we get even fewer films with trans representation and therefor lessen the chances of trans people getting good representation in movies, although i think if the trans community and t’s allies come together in a very vocal and well organized boycott of it we could make real, positive change
