This year we're doing tons of different music, not just pop songs. Last year, we did Call Me Maybe and an End of the World show that featured Dance Till the World Ends. This year, we've done some Daft Punk stuff, some older musical stuff, and we have an arrangement of Thrift Shop we've played at both games in the stands.
It's shaping up to be an interesting year music-wise!
Hi Jenna!! So i was stalking the Mizzou tag, and found your blog. and i saw you are a piccolo player and are in the marching band. I'm currently a junior in high school, but I'm applying to Mizzou in the fall. If I get it, I'd probably audition for the marching band. Can you tell me about your experience at Mizzou and in the marching band? I'm really curious and just on that college search mindset. Thanks!!
Mizzou is great. It’s a huge University, so it can be overwhelming for your first couple of days, but that’s also one of the things I love about it :)
Marching Mizzou is definitely a huge time commitment. Practices are every Tuesday through Friday from 4:15 - 6. Saturdays are game days, and those last anywhere from 8 to 10 hours sometimes. So it definitely takes a lot out of your week. If you love marching band and you are looking for a large organization to be in at Mizzou, it is perfect!

OMG I'M SO SORRY! I just now noticed this message. Sometimes messages just like vanish into my inbox... Super fail for meeee. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you! I hope you enjoyed the performance though! It was super fun, you guys were great host and we can't thank you enough! I hope you won the football game! I'm an alto sax player! I wish I could dance like the Red Steppers though!
