Your boyfriend got fired from his job, and all of his friends are telling you he’s miserable. Go take care of him, because I am fine. Not dead. And that’s what matters, isn’t it?” Losing his patience with Alec wasn’t something Jace did often, and really,  this time, it wasn’t fair. The blonde was the one hiding something, and lying straight to his parabatai’s face -- but that was better than telling him the truth. And Jace really, truly believed that.

          it’s raining. and she’s covered in blood. naturally. that seems to be how clarke spends most of her time now; or dirty in some form. months on earth had desensitized her to it all, and she barely blinks at the way the ground turns dark red from the blood washing off her. head turns slightly when she hears the squish of boots in mud, not even needing to open her eyes --- after so long around someone, spending so much time with them, occupying the same space, it’s just second nature to know who it is. “i’m fine, bellamy.” head tips, blue eyes opening despite the rain that continues to hit her face. “just need a moment.” after all, she’d just spent four hours sewing a kid’s leg back together. she needed some fresh air.

       He couldn’t help the paranoia that ate at his bones as he peered over his shoulder and slipped into the small coffee shop -- he trusted Chris’ instinct for them to meet somewhere that both of them wouldn’t be followed. The meeting was, in part, to warn the Argent. And request advice about his mother -- he wasn’t going to look to fish for help. But, he was at a point that he wouldn’t turn it down if the hunter offered it. He had pride, yes. But it took a back burner when it came to his mother.      Despite the anxiousness in his bones, he managed to take his time as he waited for his coffee -- finding the older male seated at a both alone, slipping in casually and settling against the back of the booth as if it was a meeting between two friends or collages. His voice, however, was pitched down ; relieved that Chris had enough mind to seat them near the back -- where no one else was around. “The Calaveras are in town,” he breathed in lieu of a greeting, wrapping both hands around his coffee cup to warm them from the lingering chill of the outside. “I don’t know yet if they’re looking specifically for someone or not, but they definitely wanted me to know they’re here.”

  THERE WAS NOTHING REY HATED THE most than wasting her time ---- even now, when she was on her day off, she could feel herself starting to fret over the lateness of the woman. Reyna wasn't sure if something had happened on the way ---- they were supposed to meet at the nearest olive garden for lunch to have some nice pasta & catch up ( they went to highschool together, it was only natural for them to meet before the big reunion with the class ---- not that Reyna was particularly excited for that one ), but that was supposed to happen half an hour ago. had something happened to one of her kids ? surely she'd send her a message if so, right ?  she wasn’t sure how motherhood worked, not having kids of her own, the blonde was clueless; deciding to not wait any longer, Rey picked up her phone and called her.

        ‘‘ hey —- did you drop dead & forgot to tell me ? ’’   she asked with a half hearted smile once the voice at the other end of the line was heard —- at least Reyna hadn’t lashed out her frustration. damn, she was hungry !   ‘‘  y’know   —- if you take longer than that to get here i’m seriously considering start eating this table. it’s not a mahogany one, but will do. is everything ok?? ’’
