@fearlesswintersoldier --- Blue eyes snapped open; despite the sleep that still muddled his mind he heard a noise from outside his bedroom. His apartment in Brooklyn was nothing as fancy as his quarters in Stark Tower, but he had privacy here and it felt far more like home than the modern rooms in that ugly tower. Quietly, Steve pushed himself out of bed, ignoring how the injuries he'd sustained during his last mission groaned in protest. He opened the door out into his living room, eyes peering across his darkened surroundings. There. The noise was coming from his kitchen. Steve peered around the corner, making out the muscular outline of a man rummaging through a cupboard. "It is usually polite," Steve kept his distance, voice stern to match his defensive stance. “To knock and be welcomed in, rather than breaking in and rummaging through someone's pantry.”
“Don’t pretend that you cared about me.”
“I’m not pretending. I do care about you Bucky. Always have, always will.”
