Alright Brett, I'm not normally one to go out of my way to debate random mofos on the internet. Unfortunately my gf wants me to do it because she wants to see both sides of this debate and because I love her I'm here to argue. I definitely do not think people should vote for Hillary or the Democrats. They're lackeys of the Capitalist class and should be avoided. While I don't think it's a good idea to abstain from voting I think voting 3rd party is preferable in the short term. Ok fite me m8.
I don’t know who you are and you aren’t following me, so I’d like to think that your girlfriend knows who I am and specifically requested you to come to me for this.
To clear things up for anyone who doesn’t know yet: my recommended strategy for the Presidential general election (it’s different for state and local elections) is that people in deeply Democratic states should vote for the Green Party, voters in swing states should vote for the Democrats. I’m still swinging back and forth as to what I think the best strategy for voters in Republican states is.
The Democrats aren’t worth much, of course, and Hillary is even worse than the average Democrat. But my suggestion for swing vote state to vote for her has nothing to do with her quality as a candidate, but rather, the difference in quality between her and her competitor. Hillary would be an improvement over even the best Republican in the field at the moment, and, as such, those with the ability to influence the election (voters in swing states) should use their vote to prevent the worse outcome.
