BAR Style ButterBeer: this is the home brewed butter beer that my mom and I made together, I honestly wish I had taken a picture of me and mom holding our butter beers together saying cheers, but I did not remember to do so anyway. But I did do a cheers picture with my sister this time, only that Her drink was with a metal straw and My drink is with a yellow reusable straw. The Butter Beers were very challenging drinks to make as we followed the recipe’s ingredients and instructions on the Feast of Fiction Kitchen Book. My sister’s drink with the metal straw looks so much better the way made her whipped cream and butterscotch sauce drizzle toppings on her butter beer. What my mom and I made isn’t perfect but at least my family and I like how they taste since the butter beers my family and I sipped definitely tastes accurate and lives up to the butter beer name anyway. So I hope you folks like what my mom and I made together anyway. #homebrewedbutterbeer #harrypotter #feastoffiction #cookbook #foodart #ecf #ecfartcenters (at Los Angeles 90066) https://www.instagram.com/p/CA5ryI1gwZd/?igshid=2j07qo1fx4wr
BAR’s Chocolate Salty Cookies?: Like the title says, these are what were supposed to the Chocolate Salty Balls like I watched how the Feast of Fiction Chefs made the South Park-Chef’s CSBs their way like so Eight or Twelve Times already. So I got my Mom and Sister to help me make our CSBs our way, but they actually wound up having to rewind that Feast of Fiction’s CSB video for them like 5 or 8 times because they didn’t feel confident in what they were doing. So we tried a couple of different that were off the ingredient list and instruction manual as we used a different brand of eggwhites being the liquid Eggwhites carton kind instead of using the actual egg whites, and we used a rubber spatula like spoon instead of a wooden spoon as instructed, and we used parchment paper instead of wax paper as instructed too. And that’s just how the Chocolate Salty Balls came out to be Cookies in our two batch attempts, we were not certain we were doing it right. I felt disappointed that my attempt on making the second batch my way didn’t work since they came out being giant cookies while the first batch that was done Mom and Mackynze’s mixed way came out looking like regular sized cookies, but I hope you folks like what my mom and sister and I attempted to make anyway. #foodart #cookies #feastoffiction #chocolatesaltyballs #southpark #homestylebaking #ecf #ecfartcenters (at Los Angeles 90066) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_u-PmAgOmg/?igshid=1dkb3j2fd3no8
Last night, I made lemon cakes for dessert (recipe courtesy of Feast of Fiction), not only to celebrate the holiday of Imbolc, but to honor a bubbly, bright sister witch who I recently learned is sadly no longer with us. Dolores "Dee" Chapman, known to many in the online witchy/Pagan community by her YouTube user name of Tip Toe Chick, died at the age of 38 in a car accident on October 28th, 2018. Article about the accident: https://www.peninsuladailynews.com/news/port-angeles-woman-killed-in-quilcene-wreck-on-u-s-highway-101/ She was an absolutely delightful soul. Her Hers was one of the first witchy YouTube channels I began watching regularly, and the videos that radiated love and light gave me the courage in 2016 to admit to myself and my family that I was Pagan and to begin practicing openly, or to "come out of the broom closet", as we say. In her video discussing the element of fire, its symbols, and how to incorporate it into life, Tip Toe used a metaphor of either wolfing down a favorite treat so fast you couldn't recall the experience a few moments later or to take your time eating it, using all your senses, and thus REALLY consuming it. So the lemon cake pictured below was eaten slowly for you, Dee. You will be greatly missed. It was an honor to be a fellow witchy YouTuber, or "Tubie", as you used to call us. Blessed be, sister, and may you rest well and return when the Lady wills. Tonight's dinner: Hazelnut soup Recipe thanks to the Feast of Fiction YouTube channel (this was inspired by the Disney movie "Tangled" as, in it, hazelnut soup is Rapunzel's favorite dish) This soup was absolutely delicious. Wonderfully hearty and flavorful, with a smooth, bisque-like texture. Highly recommend. Hazelnut Soup 1 cup parsnips 1 1/2 cup butternut squash 1/2 cup yellow onion 4 T. butter 1/2 t. salt 1 cup vegetable stock 1 cup half and half 2 cups hazelnut milk Peel and chop the vegetables into small pieces. Melt the butter in a skillet on medium-low heat, add the vegetables, top with the rest of the ingredients, and simmer for 20 minutes. Pour everything into a blender and blend until silky smooth. Garnish with a sprinkling of cinnamon. #FeedYourCreativity #FeastofFiction #Rapunzel #HazelnutSoup
