@jojoconway: my cowboy. you taught me how to ride a horse on our first date. you always insisted on buying lucky charms when you did the grocery shopping. how you would bring home champagne to me just because you felt like being ‘a lil bougie’ for no reason. you hated scary movies. our arguments about johnny cash vs. ray charles. i still remember the excitement on your face when you experienced your first california earthquake and how after it you put an emergency kit in every single room in the house. (”the big one ain’t gonna catch us slipping”) you pretended to hate my cooking even as you were going to refill your plate. you didn’t know a thing about fixing cars, but you always tried anyway and always managed to make things worse. you always woke me up so i knew you were home safe, no matter how grumpy it would make me.  i always have you in my heart. i love you baby. happy birthday.

🎁 Best gift you ever received and why

"It's probably corny as hell but I don't really care -- it's my engagement ring and wedding ring from Logan. I told him not to go all out because obviously with my work I couldn't wear then a lot -- because I didn't want to lose them and they rip through medical gloves so there was really no point in spending too much money that we could put to the house or honeymoon or something. But he still made sure that they were beautiful and unique. I feel like I wear them more now than I did when he was alive, which is weird. I wear it on my right hand now, when I do wear them, which is mostly around the house."
