... It’s an incredible amount of stress and pressure.
Things that your second may understand but not fully. Things that your loved ones might be able to comprehend but not fully. No matter the guild they lead, that pressure was shared by each guild master. So when he heard about what happened to Vixen; Achilles heart when out to Kali especially with rumors flying that she might have something to do with it; which seemed ridiculous. He didn’t know her well but even he could tell how much she cared about her guild. She lost the closest thing to family that some of them had in this game.
That was made even clear as he watched her walk into his office after he sent her a message. Achilles didn’t say he was sorry for her loss because she probably heard that from a lot of people. Instead, he rose from his desk and stood in front of her, she wouldn’t look at him but it was okay. “ We’ll help you figure this out. And the people responsible will pay. I make that promise to you from one guild leader to another.” It was instinctual, as he pulled her into his arms for a hug. An offering of comfort, he hadn’t expected to feel her arms wrap around him in response but when they did he held her there for a little while longer. Hoping in some small way he could give her some of his strength.
