If you want to find the world’s smallest beetle, make sure you bring a microscope! Scydosella musawasensis is only 0.325 mm (0.013 in) long, and is also the smallest free-living insect. This species lives and feeds mainly on fungi, and has been found in Nicaragua and Colombia.
