I completed the underpainting of this piece. I got the inspiration from @andrew_tischler_artist epic Milford sound painting. It is so beautiful 😍 and huge! 🤯 . . I found this beautiful reference from pixabay. I'll be posting the progress pics on this piece soon! 🤗 . . . I tried a different way of applying gesso this time! There were 2 layers, first one was plain gesso and the final one was the gesso mixed with acrylic burnt sienna and crimson. This has reduced my effort of tinting the canvas, and also made sure that the gesso is applied uniformly on the canvas (sometimes you can't figure out the application of white on white right? 🤷🏻♀️) . . I have used burnt umber, yellow ochre, cadmium red and white for lighter spots in this painting.
