· Artistic inspiration-
Abishai is an artist currently based in Mumbai. He has been into some form of art ever since childhood but has tried his hands in abstract expressionism only recently. Prior to that, he used to work in oil for around 5 years. His work is influenced by the New York School however it remains uniquely his own as the subject of his art always lies within him. His inspiration comes from interactions and experiences that he had. The artist believes in the words of a renowned artist Jackson Pollock that, “Painting is self-discovery. Every good artist paints what he is.”

On being acknowledged as ‘Artist of the Month’ Abishai John said “To be honest, I wasn’t expecting this title now, and surely not in the near future. Such a recognition has come to me all of a sudden and my ecstasy level knows no bound today. Jackson Pollock has also been my source of inspiration ever since childhood. Seeing my paintings on a platform that exhibits the paintings of many veteran artists have only been possible because of Indian art Ideas.
