Here we go again!
It's Floating Point hackathon and Writisan (built on Keechma framework) is back on the menu!
Although we've been keeping Writisan on our minds and adding small snippets of code here and there, fixing some issues and improving others, the hackathon is when we push hard and make major changes to the app.
And this time we come in full force!
The whole of Floating Point team is on this! We've had a good night sleep, productive morning meeting (well more like sipping on awesome coffee and debating for two hours, but hey, it got us in the right mood), pulled beef is slowly coming along and beer is chilling in the fridge. Basically, we covered all grounds and are ready for W-day 2.0!
Much like last time, we have two major goals: build cool new stuff and connect with awesome people.
Goals
We've split new features into two sections by priority and feasibility.
Primary goals are:
Ability to comment on individual sentences as well as paragraphs
Ability to add references (author's comments), which will be visually accented and differ from the other comments
Ability to remove and edit comments
Secondary goals
or "goals we're not sure we'll reach today but are definitely pushing hard to make them happen":
Enabling embeds
Version history
Check out how the current version of Writisan looks like.
Social goals
are a bit modest in numbers than the last time we did this. That's because we'll focus more on conversing with people hoping we'll get more comments on these features we're building and get ideas for new features. We're trying to reach:
150 Twitter followers in total
75 Facebook likes in total
70 Facebook followers in total
Oh, and last but not least, Writisan has a fresh new identity! Tell us how you feel about it.
Let the W-day 2.0 begin!
