“ever was boring? i don’t know. let’s not talk about it.”
okay so here’s the tea. it boils down to a few things tbh. first off, v actually made a move instead of ever’s pussyfooting around for years. if course aster could have made a move too, but he thought his feelings were one sided. ( he was meek, eager to please, who could ever love him? ) and v just did. there were differances between him and ever that aster wasn’t ignorant too. but rather, he made the choice not to care. he liked ‘ever’ better this way as someone more INTERESTING. someone who made him feel special. aster never really thought about the fact v lied and manipulated him, maybe he chooses not to or maybe he doesn’t care. it just was never something that struck him. the only time he was bothered by it was after the demon reveal and v subtly manipulated him. it was their first fight and it was quickly resolved. honestly it’s a ton of things. v, a demon, loving him? it makes aster feel special and he yearns for such thing. but more than that, ever was boring. v is alway fun. in the end, it’s pretty simple reasons aster chose v. but simple or not, he truly DOES love v. sorry not sorry ever. tbh there is some guilt in him. but it’s very deep, and his love for v overpowers any guilt he feels for ever.
