Apollo 14 experienced six attempts at docking the Lunar Module with the Command and Services Module before a “hard dock” was achieved. Alan Shepard traveled approximately 9,000 feet during the second of two spacewalks. It was during the second spacewalk that Alan Shepard hit three golf shots on the surface of the moon.
