OH! I also forgor to mention that I did end up making a big ao3 thing in the form of ACTUALLY commiting to writing! I have written a small ffxv fic for a gift exchange. I would be looking to eventually make a latter piece but wow was it crazy developing the fic.
If you have time please check it out and if possible.. Maybe feedback? Writing Ardyn is really rough since he has quite alot of charm and theatrical presence that it hard to nail flawlessly. Darin De Paul is an amazing actor who deserves massive praise for crafting such a vibe.
Also just ideas and concepts discussion, there's a alot with ffxv that is forced along for plot sakes and as ambitious as it was for a 'gifts of eos' trade fic I really really wanted to try and create further depth, stakes and incentivisation to confront King Regis as he does in ffxv. ALSO, while context regarding Ardyn is required I should mention that it can be read without a whole lot of prior understanding into ffxv.
